Nursing Foundation Lab is well equipped with high fidelity manikins including advanced CPR manikin, full functional IV injection arm, multi-functional nursing manikin, equipments & instruments such as oxygen cylinder and concentrator, suction apparatus as recommended by Indian Nursing Council to facilitate the students with hands-on-training in the nursing skills required prior to handling the patient independently and confidently. The preliminary training about the patient care at the college laboratory reduces the stress & fear about the hospital environment among the budding nurses.
Our college pre-clinical lab has adequate number of wet specimens, models, charts, articulated skeletons, torsos and bones.
Nutrition lab capacitates the students with necessary skills in planning & preparing varied therapeutic diets for maintaining optimum health at various stages of life and for various disease condition. It is equipped with all the facilities necessary to learn about various types of cooking methods like steaming, roasting, boiling, grilling, poaching, baking, frying, blanching. Students are trained in the preparation of normal balanced diet as well as therapeutic diet. Nutrition lab has the facilities such as gas stove, refrigerators, microwave oven, mixer grinder, weighing machine, measuring cups, vessels and utensils for preparation and serving the food items.
Community lab helps in developing skills to render comprehensive care to the individual, family and community. The lab is equipped with adequate number of community bag and maternity kit to provide primary health care. The community lab has displayed the models depicting the ideal home, ideal village, water well working model, health care centers, water purification plant.
MCH Lab is well furnished with high fidelity simulation manikin to practice and demonstrate competency of maternal and child health nursing skills. Lab has adequate number of bony pelvis, fetal skull, delivery tray & its articles, episiotomy suturing model, multi – functional obstetrical manikin, multi- functional child manikin, Infant CPR Manikin and various obstetrical instruments.
Computer lab is fully air-conditioned & having latest models of computers with multimedia including linguaphone and internet facilities. Students will develop the basic understanding of the operations of the computers and its applications in the nursing field.
Various types of audio – visual aids like projected and non-projected aids are displayed here. Students learn how to prepare and handle each type of A.V aid.
